Straight from the Farmer's Almanac

It has been overcast here all day. And the yard and trees have been full of blackbirds and robins. My Dad used to say who you see robins, it is going to rain.
According to the Farmer's Almanac....
Up to the early 19th-century most Americans lived in rural settings. For them, changes in nature and even animal behavior served as weather predictors. I’ve noticed that flies cling to the window screens before rain. Flies and horseflies are more bothersome just before it rains. Also, frogs croak louder just before rain. My grandparents, who were farmers, taught me to notice the weeping willow tree. When the under side of the leaves turned upward, it was going to rain.
People suffering with rheumatism or previous broken bones often feel pain or greater discomfort prior to rain. Fish are said to bite more at the water’s surface when rain is coming. A halo around the sun or moon is said to indicate rain, snow or hail, depending on the season.
I snapped this photo of a few robins in the backyard tree.
Do you ever notice signs of rain in nature? Birds or animal behavior?

As a general rule, leaves turned upside down indicates rain. I learned that a while ago. I watch the animals, particularly the squirrels. If they have bushy tails, we have a good winter. If it's scrawny, it will be mild. They've been bushy. I made that discovery on my own as I watched squirrels for a couple of years.

I generally think lots of clouds mean rain is likely and when I get wet I am confident it is raining lol

WE aren't used to these weather patterns yet, but it definitely seems like spring... no snow at least. I just might have to grab a farmer's almanac and see what we might be in for this year!!

I have noticed how animals act when the weather is going to change.

Yes I noticed thing like that as well, when all cows are under trees or laying down rain is coming and my knee and head tells me when rain or snow is coming as well.
