In cyberspace, people communicate in the form of using 'smileys or emoticons.' We often use them here on myLot. It is like using our facial expressions to show personal feelings to the receivers. For the receivers, they can able to understand the usage of them with no buts and whys. As long as they are familiar with the meanings. The common smileys were being used are as follows: . "How about you, guys?" "What smileys or emoticons do you often use?" "What do they mean to you?" Image Credit: 1.bp.blogspot.com

I use 3-4 smileys commonly mainly trying to put forward the emotion of my post.

I do think that would be good to show our good or bad intentions.

I use the same four pretty much. I might use the cheers one, or something like that occasionally.

I do agree with you. We can still use the other emoticons depending on what we feel on something.

@MommyOfEli2013 I agree. I think some emoticons are not useful.

I use the four you've shown most of all but I always like it when I can use one I don't often get the chance to.

It is nice to use them, especially if we don't need to say more about certain topics here.

@Shavkat And if we put a funny face after a comment people hopefully know we're not being serious.

It is nice that you use it that often. But, we also need to consider the proper usage of them.

I use the most. I think they're self explanatory.

You said it right. These emoticons will send the message to the receivers without any explanations.
