Friday I got my first ever ticket. You would think a speeding ticket or a moving ticket nope. My husband forgot to pay the car tags in August and I hadn’t been pulled over yet and there I was getting a ticket for my husband mistake.8; I’m every going to get ticket this is the one to get. It doesn’t go against my driving points or on my record it just a ticket that I have to pay. The police man did say I didn’t have to go to court but if I wanted to I can. Not worth the Court coast I’ll just pay the ticket and be done with it. I have to wait till pay day to do so but I have to call soon and find out how much so I can pay it.

You don’t need a lawyer dorbit but it’s just the tags and it’s not worth the fight. It wasn’t paid and it had been months. At least it’s a common ticket so it should coast an arm and a leg. I rather pay it and be done with it. It was deserved for it not being paid. It’s way past the 30 day grace period. The tags are paid now my husband paid those over the weekend so all that is left is just he ticket. We have two cars so it’s easily to mistake paying one and not the other they are due in different months. To fight it I would fail. My husband would have to take care of the kids because of the day and time or I would have to get a babysitter which would coast more money then I would have to make sure I had gas to there. The court house is roughly 45 minute to and hour to get to because it’s in what they called Old town.

@ShyBear88 It is best to just pay it. I am surprised the amount is not on the ticket. I thought they always put that on.

@akalinus I think it depends on the state you I’ve in. But I don’t know this is my first ticket ever in general. Their is a number and I can either call in pay or I might be able to pay it through the DMV I’m not sure. Their is a number on my physical copy of the ticket I wasn’t going to take a picture of that since my info is on it.

It's just one of those tickets you learn from & continue on. Glad it was nothing major!

@ShyBear88 Learn from being it's an accident on your husbands behalf that he forgot to pay the tags. Where I live, if you forget to pay it increases by a lot..
For being 31 days to 1 year late it's 60% of the vehicle license fee due for that year + $30 late registration fee + $30 CHP fee

Not much to learn from it to not like a don’t sped or something ticket but is one that people forget often because they send you stuff for it in the mail and hope you pay for it and they send in return your tags

That’s what I plan on doing! Humans was miss things time or forget them and so some times instead of fighting it just take the punishment and move on. My 3 year old was like what did you do mommy? Lol I told him I don’t know but it can’t be that bad mommy wasn’t doing anything bad. So I had to explain to him my special stickers where no longer special so the policeman was telling me I need to get them and take this ticket he gave me and pay it so that way mommy’s car isn’t bad no more. The tags are now paid just waiting for them in the mail and I plan on paying the ticket. At least it’s not a bad ticket.

@ShyBear88 Heh. Explaining things to a 3-year-old is a gift! Mommy wasn't "bad." She and daddy just made a mistake. We all do that!
