Last night I made for dinner a raspberry bbq chicken and it was really easy. The recipe itself asked for ribs but I choice chicken because it’s cheaper for us to buy and I can more of it to cook with. It was really way I did a little oli with salt and pepper brushed it on the chicken before baking. Then after it had backed for a little and turned white I did the raspberry preserve with the bbq on the chicken with a little orgeno and paprika.
The kids ate it all up.

Oh that does sound yummy. Except I am weird. I don't like to bake the chicken like that.
Sweet Baby Ray's does a bbq sauce with raspberry flavoring. I bought bbq sauces from a shop that makes them homemade, got those for a friend for Christmas. It has made me want to try to make my own barbecue sauce if I am being honest.
I am glad you enjoyed your chicken. I just think prepping the chicken that way dries it out. I cut my chicken then cook it until the flesh is white. After that I add the barbecue sauce and let it simmer. All on the stove top.

That’s actually what I did baby rays is a gluten free bbq sauce and I mixed it in wirhbfhe raspberry preserve it was god. I do the same if I want to make orange chicken but I fire the chicken first lightly then do orange marmalade with honey and bbq sauce

@ScribbledAdNauseum some times I don’t add the bbq and just do a 2 jars of marmalade get some little cutes and take me peeled to give it some fresh oranges then just squeeze a little honey over the top between jars. I some times will buy a sweet and sour sauce from the story there’s a brand that is gluten free I get. Do it the same way as just orange chicken. The kids like it. I hear up some rice if I have veggies I’ll added to with the chicken to cook or just steam them with the rice.

@ShyBear88 Orange Chicken with honey? Now I've seen the recipes where you mix the bbq sauce with the orange marmalade. I am going to have to try it with the honey though. What do you pair with the orange chicken?

It’s mixed with the bbq sauce so you can put as little or as much as you liked. It made it more bbq with just a little bit of the sweetness from the raspberry preserve

@cintol I put some raspberry preserve a couple scoops and then added bbq sauce mix together and just brush it over. If I want orange chicken I mix orange marmalade with bbq but I lightly fry the chicken and then add the mix over the chicken in oven pan and bake it.

@ShyBear88 So you just poured some BBQ sauce into a bowl or something and added the raspberry preserves? That sounds so good, I have got to try that.
