Watching the rain from prison.

I am currently incarcerated. I am only partially employed right now, and EDD is calling me between 1PM and 3 PM. The last two times they called me, it was five minutes after the windows that they they had given me. I'm sorry, they said. Had I not been there, I might have lost my benefits.
I've only been incarcerated for 1.5 hours, so it's OK. I am watching the rain coming down, MyLotting, and practicing guitar. Life is good. I assume they will call at about 3:05 PM, asserting their control over my life, and reminding me that I have to be "good," while others don't.
I am used to kissing ass to my inferiors. In Oakland, I hired a woman with two years of high school under her belt, to teach toddlers. My hand was forced by economic conditions. Within two years, she was my "boss." It didn't matter that I was a published Ph.D. psychologist. Nor that I had to ghost write documents, including grant proposals, for her. I had to accept things as they were.
I will continue to accept things as they are.

I had to look it up, Toni. Apparently, the EDD are the ones who auction off pony's services to the lowest bidder. They are also the ones who take 3/4 (approximately
) of his payroll checks in taxes to help support themselves in the manner in which they are accustomed. (I think I'm joking, but we'll have to wait for pony to show up and let us know how far off or close my approximation is on his taxes.

What I understood is that you are working at a place where others are getting promoted and not you? Am i right? if so, is there any chance that you change the job? If they don't value all the things you've done I am pretty sure others will. I hope all this get better.

Uhm... what pony said was that he (A man with a Ph.D. in psychology.) hired a woman with almost no education and in less than two years she became his boss and he does (at least some of) her work for her.
That just isn't right! But if he says it isn't right, he could lose his job! *shake my head*

@TheHorse I am so sorry to hear that, I have heard of those sort of cases before where women were set aside. I am so sorry, I truly believe that women are not only the smartest gender, but also the strongest. I hope one day you will be on the top.

Well, at least we can see you're remembering to water your plants while you're in prison, pony. Good for you!

@WiseGhots When it rains, I MIGHT play guitar. But usually I just turn off all of my music and LISTEN.
