First Post On My New Computer

I am so excited. Yesterday late afternoon I got myself a new laptop Yes, I finally bit the bullet and spent the money for a new 17.3 inch HP Pavilion. I am still trying to get it all set up and used to the difference. It is so much faster than my other one plus it is Windows 10 and I have been using Windows 7. I know, it's an old application but I liked it. Anyway, I will be happily exploring the new things I can do with it. I will also be able to get posts on here more easily. Hope everyone is having as much fun today as I am. Have a positively wonderful day.

@HazySue Our HP computer was wonderful, it gave us good service. We had an IBM that was great, also.

I'm so happy for you! When we get taxes back I will be getting a laptop screen since mine busted. I'm grateful to be here even through my phone but I definitely prefer my laptop and miss it!

Congratulations on getting your new machine! I hope that you enjoy it. I remember when I first got this laptop and how excited I was. I think the next machine I'll get will be a bit sleeker. I do love this one though and hope it lasts a few more years.

This one is one of the sleeker models and I think it's great. I loved my old computer but in the end it would take me two to three times longer to get anything accomplished and I could no longer hang on.

That's exciting news for sure! I am schizophrenic with technology. I have an hp desktop using Windows 10 up in CT. I have Apple products in Florida - laptop, iPad, and iPhone, all of which need to be upgraded. I keep saying next week......

I am slowly getting used to windows 10. When I bought my last computer I had them take windows 10 off and put in windows 7. They thought I was nuts but,,,ohh well.

How exciting, I have an HP Pavilion as well and I love it! Windows 10 is ehh, we all miss Windows 7, but I feel like as long as the computer runs and can do the normal stuff it is a good computer!

I loved windows 7 and fought changing over to it until I could fight no more. I am now concentrating on learning the ins and out of windows 10.

Glad to hear you finally bit the bullet. My computer at home is pretty old. Has to be about 6 years or more or so. I am probably due for a new one but it works, so I'm like why bother? But glad to hear you got things worked out. But yes, getting used to the new stuff does take a little time.

I kept hanging on to my old computer because I liked it even though it was giving me a problem. I am glad I finally decided to upgrade, so to speak.

Me too. I am finding that I am already saving time with this new one. I would have to write, rewrite and write again because of the way the old one would shut of and get hinky.

I had them put windows 7 on my last computer. It came with windows 10, I think I will keep the windows 10 this time.

@HazySue I like windows 7 but my computer is old and hopefully it has many more years to work. I do not want upgrade to windows 10 because it costs me a lot of money and right now my health takes president over anything.
