My poor baby girl she isn’t baby any more but I still call her that. For the past several nights my daughter has had at night random hives I would treat with some allergies meds the first 3 nights that work with some lotion. But last night my husband was home and I gave meds before bed because she would come and wake me up with hives on her body. I stripped her beds thinking dust or maybe a different detergent even though I use the same one it’s possible to react to it. Then I thought maybe she ate something at school. She is really allergic to walnuts and I don’t keep tree nuts at home just peanuts and sunflower butter.
So my husband is a metal health tech so he has more medical training then me. He decided to cal his mom whom has had 6 kids and is more wise then us two. Some times even us parents need are parents advise. She advices to go head and take her to ER and get it under control. My husband took her I stay home with the boys and continues to get them to go to sleep.
Once they got to the ER there is a pediatric area and they took her back right away since it was allergy related. They got her set up with some meds and told my husband she ate something she is allergic to and it can last for 5-7 days and keep recurring. So we need to put her on a steroid and a fast acting allergy meds to counter the reaction. For us to fallow up with her doctor and the allergist she see.
We spend all day today running around to those doctors. Did a walk in with the pedi she asked us do we wanted to do a blood panel on just nuts and see if anything pops in the blood. We can do another scratch test after the steroid jsbout of her system with the allergist. Which we spot by the allergist which are a cross the road for the pedis.
We got everything under control. I mentioned to my husband that I did make raspberry bbq so that might have done it. Unless she ate something at school.
She is doing good. She got a slushee because the pediatric ER has a now and the nurse gave her one since the med they gave her is yucky.

It’s hard to tell when you don’t know. Doctors do some guessing.

@Shavkat the blood test said she had high levels of milk so tomorrow she has an allergist appointment for a scratch test again.

Still waiting to hear. It’s now Tuesday so I’m sure I’ll hear something or at least pull it up online.
