Will you use the timer when you are cooking?

I will only use the timer when I am using the stand mixer. As it is suggested not to use for over 10 minutes, or it will be paused automatically to protect the machine.
I usually set a 5-minute timing and let the stand mixer work for 5 minutes. And then set another 5 minutes to let the machine take a break etc.
I seldom use it for other aspects.

I use the timer on my oven all the time so that it turns off when the cooking is done and I don't have to watch it.

We have that feature on our cooking range but the timer is not working. I am fine without it We have clocks floating around.
