Will you use the timer when you are cooking?

I will only use the timer when I am using the stand mixer. As it is suggested not to use for over 10 minutes, or it will be paused automatically to protect the machine. I usually set a 5-minute timing and let the stand mixer work for 5 minutes. And then set another 5 minutes to let the machine take a break etc. I seldom use it for other aspects.

I use the timer on my oven all the time so that it turns off when the cooking is done and I don't have to watch it.

But if you keep the food inside the oven, it is still very hot inside even if the oven is off automatically. It is still easy to over cook.

We have that feature on our cooking range but the timer is not working. I am fine without it We have clocks floating around.
