It's Confirmed

I've been watching traffic. Some travels at normal speed, some slow. Salt trucks went by a couple times and maintenance was out salting the sidewalk.
My friend came by and told me if I was going anywhere to be careful. It's icy out there and she almost fell. I was very happy I didn't go to L.I.F.T. this morning. She said my car is covered in ice.
It almost makes me leery of going to church tomorrow. Nothing keeps me home unless I'm sick or in the nursing home, which I was, three years ago when I broke my leg.
She also told me it was sleeting outside. I thought that was the case, the roads were wet. They're starting to dry out, so it must have stopped.
Now, why can't this be snow. @Corbin5 could you send the snow this way, please? It's cold enough to snow, but the clouds aren't forthcoming.
We'll see what tomorrow brings besides more temps in the 30s. Monday will be warm again with a high of 36. Definitely no snow on Monday.
The neighbor's daughter across the street was out earlier with ice melt for the sidewalk. I'm still worried about him. It's rare I see a light on, and only when the daughter is there, so he might be back in the hospital.
Anyway, that's what's going on here. How's the weather by you? Thanks for reading. Not today's picture, but a few days ago.

so you did get a bit of snow a few days ago, then? It will be melted if it's sunny the day it's in the mid-thirties, Well you'll just have to find an older picture when the snow was deeper and put that into your window to look st instead of the iciness that you do see. It may be better to stay away from church than the possibility of falling, but you need to make that decision. When the weather is really bad and they are concerned about things like too much ice and people falling our church will even call off the service. That doesn't happen very often though.

@just4him Good. We don't need you falling again. You live too far to come help.

@MarshaMusselman I appreciate your concern. No, it's my one fear, whether winter, summer, spring, or fall.

@DianneN I'm beginning to think so. There's nothing going on over there. Though she shows up a couple times a day now. It used to be once in the morning, and with the roads icy, she comes by to make certain the sidewalks are salted.

It's totally dark over there except for the kitchen light. At this time of the evening, the living room light would be on until after I go to bed. His daughter? was there earlier. Every so often I'll see the light on over there, and no vehicle in the driveway, but it's not on for very long and wonder if it's on a timer.

There was rain in the night and now there are cloudy skies.

The roads were good yesterday. So all is back to normal, or at least the ice is gone. Normal would have snow on the ground.

We are are the(about 150 mile) bread that is sandwiching in between that system hitting the mid section with snow and heavy rain, you getting some sleet and us gray skies with a chance for a tenth of an inch of showers Which is good here as we're still drying out from the heavy rains the previous two or three weeks before this sunny week til yesterday's overcast. Maybe your slice of bread keeping the system from rising up to give you snow goes somewhere ekse and you get snow

Salt melts ice. The city salts the streets and roads when a storm is due, especially if ice is expected with it. Large dump trucks full of salt can be seen several times a day salting the roads. Several years ago we had so much snow, the city ran out of salt and used sand.

Oh ow! Yeah be careful out there. I know some churches put up the service on their website in the form of audio or video if you can't go in person

The roads were a sheet of ice this morning. I guess my little part of the United States is getting winter a little late!

Sooner or later we'll get snow. The roads were good yesterday and today.
I agree.
