No Visitors Allowed. / myLot

For the longest time of the super busy holidays, my house was totally topsy-turvy, literally. As I am already one who don't fancy curtains and decorations, my house can pass for a slum. The wreck cot was in the dining, the eight-seater festive table turned into a television console, the elegant chairs into electric fan and book stands. The sofa chair has become the toss point for all the washed clothes and lingerie. Meaning - I have to utter the "No Visitors Allowed" in my humble home. Which, of course, raised many an a brow. But what can I do? I couldn't just show friends how a mess my already unglamorous home is. Anyways, I have cleaned up a bit. Talk about the old saying "Cleanliness is next to Godliness." I compelled my self a spring cleaning in January. Visitors are allowed now, but only if my dog allows them in my premises.

I used to live in a house that was messy too and was badly built. Now, I’ve moved to an apartment with my daughter and I’m no longer ashamed to have people visiting me in my new home.

Happy for you and your daughter you now dwell in a presentable home. Cozy and warm, I suppose. But honestly, I actually do not mind how cluttered my home is, my problem is where to sit guests should they stay. Crazy, really.

@eileenleyva In my old home, if I had like 5 people in my house, the living room would not even have space for them to move because of all the stuff that was in the house.

I know. I know. And when it comes to cleaning, I am the most indolent creature in the world. That;s also one reason I do not put up /Christmas decorations. Sigh.
