Annual physical update

Well today I had my physical update at my local Primary Care Physician this mid-morning.
After I posted my last health update last month, my weigh had went down around after New Year's Eve to 116. But as of now, it's at 117.3. It's good enough for me since I have tight jeans and changed the size of my underwear. She wants me to get it up to the 120s, so I'm so close to reaching that goal with I stick with gaining a pound every week.
I also had her look at my two big toenails. I thought I had two ingrown toenails. But she said they were fungal and referred me to a podiatrist. I'll be calling her tomorrow to make an appointment and to find out self-care treatment for it. I never had fungal nails before. Have you?
Overall, it was a pretty good visit. I'll see her this mid-summer and hope to hit my weight gain goal and have it stay here with a 2000 calorie diet.

Glad your weight is so good now. I have heard soaking your feet in Listerine mouthwash helps. Never had to try it tho.

I might consider that after I see the podiatrist soon.

I've heard that and done it too. It may have worked better had I done it before it took hold.

@MarshaMusselman I hope so. I'll be calling her on Thursday since she's closed on Wednesdays.

Don't wait, the longer you wait the worse it can get. I had one awful nail year ago and now I have some on both feet. I saw the podiatrist for the first time last year and my nails will never look good again. If you go sooner you may stop it spreading to other nails.

You will reach the weight that you want.
There are lots of things to cure those kind of toenail infections.

@KristenH
I have heard that they can take a long time to grow out altogether.
Just do what you can and reach that goal you have set.

That's good to hear that it was a good appointment. I don't think I have ever had fungal nails, so don't have any help to add there.

@MommyOfEli2013 Thanks! Cool. Unless I'm sick with a cold or something, then I'll call. But I'm there for my annual check-up twice a year.

It`s really hard to have a diet especially on holidays. I never had fungal nails.

Glad your weight is getting in a range you are comfortable with. I don't think I have had toe fungus, but I know there is over the counter stuff you can buy for the problem.

@KristenH If you can afford it..! Toe fungus is unlikely to kill you. However, I get your point.

@snowy22315 Thanks. I'm just waiting for my referral to go through first. I could afford the co-pay.

@KristenH If your referral doesn't clear, you may want to see how much they cost out of pocket. It may be worth a visit either way to keep any more from getting that too.

Yikes! I'm not looking forward to hear that. No wonder my other toenails break off so easily. How did she do that?

It is great that you have put on weight as you wished to.It is said that fungal nails are hard to treat.

So good to see you again, and it sounds like you are doing so well with your weight. Just don't become a fatty or those jeans won't look so good. LOL! Trust me!
I haven't had a toenail fungus, but I hope the podiatrist can help. It's pretty common around pools and locker rooms if you go barefoot.

I was underweight. Not overweight. I've been underweight for 3.5 years though. I used to be at 135 pounds. *sigh* I will.
