Lots of parents have children that have lovesies. What is a lovesie it’s another word for security blanket which can also mean a toy, blanket, maybe even a binki. Lots of young children have these it’s what comforts them when they are sad, lonely or any other emotions that a young one will go through. All three of my kids have something. My oldest had a mermaid called Mermaid Maddy. My middle son has a brown horse that we got him when he was two from the store. That thing has been with him every night since. He calls him brown horse. Then my youngest over this last February got a black little poodle during Mar do gras and we call him max. Funny he looks like our black toy poodle we had way before our youngest was born. I randomly called the toy dog max and since he has been calling him Max. He also has a favorite blanket that he sleeps with the same as his siblings. Then each have a special blanket.

I had several that made it all the way through high school. I didn’t take them with me to college I left them at home so I had something to snuggle at home. I just don’t like sleeping alone and a toy or something made that more relaxing. I sleep alone now. I don’t sleep well when my husband isn’t home.

@ramapo17 girls tend to more the boys. My husband has a favorite red blanket that he likes to cuddle with it’s usually on the sofa and the kids also snuggle with it probably because it smells like daddy.

When I was a little kid I had a blankie and loved it. I do not have human kids now. I have a cat and she doesn't use anything.

The little *Brown Horse* looks just like Arias little horse she calls Spirit . She loves that little fella , he is on her bed right now . She also has a special blanket 2 actually and gets a bit upset when it is time to take them to wash. My 12 year old grandson has a fairly large floppy dog he sleeps with every night (I just had to do some repairs on Floppy night before last). Poor guy was a bit worse for wear.

Yes they do tend to wear down often. I had replace the mermaid last year. This horse is our little brown horsey which is my youngest. My sister law tried to replace my middle son’s brown horse and he wouldn’t haven’t it’s not the same. Same color same brand it’s jusr smaller. So he gave it to his little brother and kept his brown horsey.
