Today's Google Doodle - Soviet Physicist Lev Landau!

I always enjoy when I see a google doodle that intrigues me. Today I clicked on it because I was not sure who the fella in the drawing was.
The man in the doodle is Soviet Physicist Lev Landau. He would have been 111 years old today. Lev taught as a professor of theoretical physics while doing extensive research which led him to the construction of the complete theory of “quantum liquids”. He won the Nobel Prize for physics in 1962. How interesting!
Had you heard of this man before? Happy 111th Birthday, Lev!

I think I might have heard the name before as it sounds vaguely familiar, and I have read about some effects of quantum fluids but I hadn't combined the name, the man and the research.
Might have to read more about quantum fluids. I like quantum mechanics but parts of it is quite complicated

@MissNikki I teach physics so I try to update myself on moderne physics, but classical physics is much easier IMO
