Brushing the Dude

The Dude loves to be brushed. When the sun is shining I will brush him out in the screen room. He always goes to sleep while I am brushing him. He has thick hair and when I am done he is so smooth and shiny.
Look at him posing for the camera. Actually he is bird watching.
Brendel not so much. I have to brush her on the run. It is funny how they are so different. Her hair is fine and it is harder to keep her still.
Do you have pets? Do they like to be brushed?

Look at Dude and how shiny he is. It's funny, my friend has a black cat and he likes to get "a chewing" from her dogs. He will go stand in front of one of the dogs (the same one every time) and she (the dog) will nibble on his back. He loves it.
Of course he often wants to be petted right after. 
The black cat will also go up to the muted calico and she (the muted calico) will groom him. He is one spoiled kitty.
I think most black cats are. They demand to be loved.

@CarolDM I am sure he (Dude) is. I don't understand why so many hate black cats, other then the false superstitions. Black cats are often the most cuddly.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yep. When I had Sneezy, him and Lily saw a nature show about wild cats and they learned how to groom themselves. It was sweet. But now I don't have Sneezy, Lily loves to snuggle with me.

I don't have any pets, but I do brush my stuffed animals to make them all soft and fluffy!

My big Sonny James cat should be brushed each and every day cause he has three coats. He likes it but he must have allergies cause when I brush or even pet him much he starts to lick his feet. Something is irritating him. I also bathe him but probably not enough.

@CarolDM Maybe one day. Right now I think we are just content to have an empty house. But I DO miss the way both of them would greet you at the door when you came home. They were on their own program 99.9% of the time, but when you came home they were all over you.

I don't have a pet yet, I might have one when I live on my own. Call me silly but The Dude doesn't have a friendly face, does he? He seems not get along with many people, I love rebel cats.

I used to keep and breed tropical fish. Brushing them was a real hassle!
