Tee Shirts with numbers on ....Gggrrrr !!!

Okay , so this is a pet hate of mine …
I walk down the street minding my own business ….and I see a child of about 7 years old wearing a t shirt with 1976 printed across the front !!!
What is that all about ????
It is 2019 and 1976 was years ago ….that date is not going to mean anything to a 7 year old child.....
Sorry ...but I just cant see the point !

Is the 7 year old child picking out their own clothing? Probably not.
Maybe the year means something to the parent. Their birth year, the year their parents got married etc. Maybe the parent just thought it was cute. You can't blame the child for that clothing choice.
However, this "vintage date" type clothing has been around for atleast two decades already. I doubt it will go away anytime soon.

Im not blaming the child ...just saying it doesn't mean anything to them . If, as you say it means something to the parents then it should be them wearing it !

@Traceyjayne As long as manufacturers make children size shirts of this nature.. people will wear them.
