restroom etiquette

There are 14 women that live in the shelter here, and only two bathrooms. Without fail, at least twice a day I go in the bathroom and there is no toilet paper. I consider it common courtesy to replace this if you take the last of it, but apparently others do not think it so. Not only that, apparently last night someone must have gone in there and found themselves without any paper and decided to clog up the commode with paper towels, even though there is a sign on the door that says do not put paper towels in the toilet. So up until a few moments ago, there was only one toilet for 14 of us to share. And for anyone who drinks coffee, you know this is a difficult matter. The maintenance man came and fixed it about 30 minutes ago, and of course when I went to use it-- no toilet paper. Each day I take one more roll than the day before. I am up to carrying 5 rolls in there now, and I'm sure it will be depleted by dinner time. I will restrain myself from complaining, I am very grateful to be off the streets and not having to relieve myself in the woods. Instead I vent to you my mylot family, perhaps some of you have some stories of being "stuck on the pot" without the proper tools.

I am sure it must be frustrating but it is good you have us to vent to. I am glad you are off the street and are somewhere warm and safe.

I am glad you are warm and safe. And no one else dealing with toilet paper is a big frustration.

I know it's so hard to find the blessings in your situation, everything annoying feels like a mountain that never stops growing! I get it, not too long ago my family was homeless as well. I'm sorry and I wish everyone had respect and courtesy. All you can do is pray for them.

@starflye78 I understand what you are saying to replace the toilet paper if it is gone.

Maybe you should take piece of toilet paper with you every time you go, so that you wouldn't remain without it.
