After watching the trailer for this movie, my husband and I decided to check out this movie.
It is said to be a comedy-drama film...and I can definitely agree on the comedy part.
Overall, it was a good, and interesting movie. I have to say though that some parts were just weird.
The movie is about people shrinking to 5 inches tall (or downsizing) as a solution to overpopulation. If the people decide to do this, they go to a place called leisureland, and they get to live a life of wealth and relaxation (or so it seems).
I will not give away the ending, as I know a lot who read these don't like spoilers, but I just wanted to introduce you to the film if you haven't seen it and give my thoughts.
I will say that the movie was weird when you saw the people get downsized, it is actually quite freaky!
Would you go through downsizing if it could help the planet, and allow you to live a life of luxury? Personally, I am not sure what I would do in this case....but I had to wonder what others would do in this situation.

Never seen that movie and no I don't think I would want to downsize, I rather stay the way I am and be poor lol.

It was pretty good....and I definitely understand haha. It might be good to be able to live the life of luxury, but going through the downsizing would not be fun (they shave off all of your hair, including eyebrows) and then shrinking down might be painful lol

@MommyOfEli2013 Great. I'll check it out. For some reason I thought you saw it on a cable movie channel.

@noni1959 That's great to hear :) And we don't have cable so we either watch on Hulu, Netflix or if we buy the movie

Downsizing is a pretty good darn idea! Science and money should go to that research!

That would be interesting, if it could actually happen. All I can say is it made for a very original movie :) lol
