Wrapping Up The Mylot Month

Only a few days remain in the month and soon mylot earnings will turn over to be earned for February. I do not make it a habit to be on mylot everyday, however this month was an exception.
I set my mind to something and I wanted to see if I could achieve it. I just so happened to be caught up for the month on bills and the such. For that reason, I decided to spend most of my time here on mylot. My little "experiment" has been proven a success. It was more a personal challenge than it was a goal, and not one I intend to repeat for February.
So for those wondering why I was suddenly here a lot this month, well that is the reason.
Do you set challenges for yourself on your earnings site?
What about those in your personal life?
Have you succeeded in a personal challenge recently?

I set no challenges or goals on an earnings site. There is still the x factor we have no control over.

Ah yes, of course there is. I don't normally set challenges like the one I did this month. I just wanted to see how close I could get to the amount others have made / make here monthly. Last year I think I only made payout three times here.

I don't usually set challenges for myself on earning sites, but I have used personal challenges. This year it is lifestyle challenge. I want to change my eating habits and exercise more.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I don't have a bike anymore. I used to have one, but I sold it. I use the stationary bike instead or dance in my living room. I love to dance. I think that my new exercise habits have been a bigger succes than the eating habits. I exercise one or two hours per day, usually two hours. I haven't been able to avoid unhealthy food completely, but I eat more healthy food than I did before.

@Porcospino I think you are doing very well then. You are eating healthier and you are exercising. A person who can completely get away from bad foods is someone I would like to meet. I jus don't think it's possible to completely stop eating bad foods.
I've danced as well and found it was both entertaining and a good cardio workout. Youtube has videos you can follow along to, but I usually just put on some upbeat music and danced the length of a song or two.

I didn't set a goal for myself at new years, but I do want to exercise more. So far that hasn't happened. I keep telling myself each year that I will get a bike. I never do. Not a stationary bike, but one that you can use to exercise with outdoors. Maybe this year will be the exception. I would certainly spend more time at the rec center in my neighborhood.
How has the challenge of changing your eating habits gone for you?

Not really on earning sites, and to a degree in my personal life, but not as much as I should.

I think I have to agree with you there. I don't set challenges or goals for myself in my personal life, not nearly as much as I should. I haven't gone walking at all this year. Unless you count shopping trips.I promised myself last year that I would make an effort to walk more this year.

@allknowing $30.00 is a good amount. That would pay my cellphone bill.

Glad I could remind you. I don't take mine out, though I guess I could. I wish they did it like they used to, where you could choose to wait until $100.00 by checking the "tick" beside it.

It's still going. I haven't quite made what I set out for, but I did make more than I usually do. That was the real challenge for me, earning more then I usually do here.

I consider earning sites to be part of my professional life. The more I can earn with them the better off I will be and the happier I will be as well.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Ok.. Actually for me, earning sites are just another way to make some extra cash.. I don't look at them as profession..
So I wrote what is relevant in my situation..

@ScribbledAdNauseum That is a good point. short term goals are easier to achieve in some ways,

I prefer short term over long term. I feel like short term goals are easier to accomplish. Of course there are some long term goals (saving for a trip) that I will do.
I think it breaks up the monotony sometimes, to set challenges for oneself.

I am still going to try to make as much as possible here before the end of the month. I like to set some goals, it just depends on what it is.

You did it this month! But I didn't
. I used to challenge myself online that way, but I just can't do the time here these days. I am lucky to be here at all! That would mean I'm using more time in personal life . . . and technically I guess that means I am putting more into those goals. I am, but the goals are more involving - so I need tons more time and everything else. I am trying to get our place into shape once and for all - it's ongoing as there is way too much to do - I suppose I can say I have made small successes but there is much more to do!

I need to make some goals with the household stuff as well, especially my room. I want it completely different but I haven't done much to make it that way. I have plenty of time I just don't get to it.
Sometimes goals are great, sometimes they are not, ya know?

Sometimes I set myLot goals and I'm happy when I reach them. However, spending more time here takes away from other things so as much as I love interacting here it does cut back on my time for other things.

Yes, I'll only be here when I can do so. I know some mylotters are here all the time and make far more than I have this month. I just can't dedicate all that time all the

I get caught up playing games sometimes as well. I was going to get off of mylot to play minecraft (it relaxes me). I couldn't, however, because someone was already using the t.v. in the den. I came back to mylot some more.
What games do you play?

Oh, don't get me wrong, i do enjoy all of the conversations I've had with everyone here. I just wanted to set a goal for myself this month and see how I would do. Sharon seems to make a lot of money each month and I wanted to see if I could make as much as she makes. I do not think I've gotten anywhere close to that though.

That's good that your experiment was a success! I only set a goal or challenge to beat the previous month's earnings. I succeeded this month a few days early!

That's great. That means anything else you earn until the end of the month is just icing on the cake! Cool!
