UFOs - real or not?

Sightings of spaceships, flying saucers and little green men abound the world over. I can't say that I've ever seen one but many people say they have and some of those people are not the type who are likely to make up stories just for their five minutes of fame in front of a TV camera.
Police officers, pilots (both civilian and military) and clergymen are just some of the reliable witnesses who claim to have seen a UFO. Many of them are reluctant to come forward and admit it for fear of the ridicule they may face which makes me think that they, at least, believe what they saw was real.
However, until concrete proof arrives in the form of an alien spacecraft landing on my front lawn and inviting me on board for a cup of tea, I will remain sceptical!

I think that UFO are real but they could be many things but they are not creatures from other planets. That's what I think.

I'm a bit of a skeptic myself. That isn't to say that I don't believe there is life on other planets, I am just not sure that they'd fly around earth when it's night.
Back in the 90's, atleast in the US, there was a documentary that was supposed to be real. It was filmed in Salt Lake City, Utah and was supposed to depict a family's experience with aliens. The documentary was fake but I think my family and I watched it several times. My uncle who was the only tech savvy person in the family at the time, looked it up and found out that it was some sort of indie filmmakers piece of work.

@ThreeTeddies I do not think it will ever happen like ti does in the movies or books. I am sure that if intelligent life exists elsewhere, they'd be much less obvious about where they landed and explored.

@ScribbledAdNauseum False things like that are a major problem in seeking the truth. There is so much misinformation, obfuscation and plain old fashioned lies about UFOs that we may never find the truth - until a spaceship lands on the White House lawn in front of all those TV cameras!

I think mankind has been shown proof many times but being how we are we still expect a full on 3D appearance on the white house lawn as proof. That kind of proof may come one day but even so that too will be suspicious so we still won't be inclined to trust our senses.
I haven't seen an actual UFO but I've no doubt they are real and it's all a lot more complicated than just showing up and flashing us with seeming advanced technology.

@ThreeTeddies Perhaps they have or perhaps it isn't possible yet for the majority to see them if they did. Our understanding and perceptual abilities aren't exactly that great.
Then again I am speculating on some level. On another level I just know what I know and how is anyone to prove such a statement?

I've only heard stories too but it wouldn't surprise me at all to learn that we're not alone here.
