School canceled

So because it has been negative weather with windchills here I have called my son in last Friday and today. They canceled school yesterday and tomorrow. I am not risking getting frostbite or sick even though we are 3 blocks away. I know a few parents that did the same thing. Thursday is up in the air but probably going to cancel school then too and back on Friday when the warm up begins back up. Suppose to be 30's this weekend and about 15 Friday. So we will see. Even the school understands why I am not sending my son to school in this freezing weather. I can't wait for it to warm back up...

It has been cancel quite a bit here also and it is looking like it will be again tomorrow.

Sorry to hear how cold it has been so many places. We have been in the 50s here in the Seattle area but they are calling for a lot colder weather by Sunday or Monday. Just glad most the time we never get much under 25,

They are better off at home in the warmth rather than going in the freezing cold weather.
Its wise for them to close the school for now as well.

I would do the same thing and I'm glad that you mentioned that other parents are doing the same thing. He could learn just as much from you and not get frostbite!! It's nasty out there!!

I would keep my kids home from school too with these freezing temperatures. Our schools are closed today due to the snowy weather and probably the cold too.
