There are a few structures and columns in Rome left over from Classical times that are worth seeing. Then, there are 'newer' things, like St Peters, begun in 1506, I believe. Rome is one of those places where history 'comes' alive in lots of ways.

That is me to the right of the picture. For some time they had it fenced ooff and charged admission. the last time there, it was fee.
