I came across this recent article published on the New Jersey 101.5 website which I have summarized below. I was surprised to see this news, but not shocked, as animal cruelty can come in many different ways these days. This stray calico cat was shot with a crossbow arrow, or bolt, sometime on Jan. 12. The arrow remained imbedded in the feline until it was surgically removed days later. Police took the injured cat to the New Jersey Freedom Farm Animal Rescue for treatment. Meanwhile, animal cruelty investigators look for the person who shot her. On a positive note, the cat, who's been dubbed "Audrey" by rescue staff, is recovering and nearly able to find a new home. To me, this is an act of a very disturbed person. There can be no reason for aiming a weapon at a defenseless animal in this case. And even if he was a teenager who was just fooling around that is no excuse. I don't even agree with hunting for sport. I sure hope they can find the person who did this. What is your reaction to this person's behavior? Source- NJ 101.5 Photo- thedailyjournal.com

That's terrible. I'm glad the cat survived and is almost ready to go to a new loving home.

People who can hurt an animal that’s not doing anything to them can also hurt a human just as easily. Sick people.
