Tolerating Children

Neighborhood story has it, from the mouth of the matriarch herself, that her married daughter who dwells in the same house, has kindled an affair with another man, and got herself impregnated. That situation which once was taboo and considered adultery has become a new normal. Which, of course, in my religious doctrine, is still wrong. What grieves the sensibilities more is the fact that the matriarch has reconstructed the house in such a way that the husband and his mother is situated in rooms at the back, and the daughter, with her new partner, takes the master's bedroom. This is the stuff television soaps are made of. Leaves a bad taste to the mouth. Finding ways society can rinse the filth. Perhaps it begins if parents refrain from tolerating the whims of their children.
