National Carrot Cake Day!

February 3rd is know as National Carrot Cake Day! I didn’t know there was even a day for Carrot Cake. So Thanks Inboxdollar did your code with morning for National Carrot Cake Day.
Here is what I found out about this day and how it came about. Back in the Middle Ages this was a treat. The needed for baked goods was expensive but could be done. People got creative with what they had since money was hard to come by. A lot of people had Carrot pie. There is no date as of when the holiday came about since it is more recent. From the information I found online Carrot Cake about to save money and the use of left overs.

@GreatMartin I’ll have to find out what I need to make onenother wise you get store brand from me. I do all my sweets gluten free unless Iran just for myself and my husband heni get a small thing of what I want.

Prove it and send me one!!! I am the Great Carrot Cake eater and, so far, after getting that title in 1972 the best I have ever had was baked in Jackson, Tennessee, where I had to carry it with 2 hands!!

It's a weird thing that Carrot Cake has its own anniversary,but i love to eat carrot.because rabbits are my favorite animals,Rabbits love carrot,so do i.

It’s not an anniversary it’s just history of how it came to be. Not that people actually go around celebrating but it’s interesting know why things came to be.

@amitkokiladitya I’m sure you can find a recipe online that is easy to do. That’s what I do especially because I have to find it gluten free way to do it.

Looks like everyday there is a national day for something. You just mentioned cake am craving for a slice right now, whatever it would be, be it carrot, be it chiffon as long as it is one lol
