Forgot to Flip the Calendar

Our calendar which I put at the refrigerator door near our dining table is still set at January. Didn't realize that now is already February, until I saw the posts that it is now already February. I forgot to flip it, so February will be on display for us to easily see the date. Although we can always check the date on cellphones, or at the right corner below the computer screen, I always like to have the traditional calendar with big numbers and letters on the wall, to see at a quick glance what date is today or to look back when I have to recall past dates. Do you still use the traditional calendar?

Big companies make nice calendars. We used to have Petron's calendars. One time they featured the winning pieces of an inter-school poster-making contest they sponsored. It was beautiful.

The other day, our TWG secretary texted me the other day that our meeting is set at January 7. I texted back that it's February 7 and he simply said "Yes Sir, Feb. 7".

@sunrisefan oh sorry,I did not see that he is the secretary! He should attend an English proficiency seminar/grammar usage, etc. to be more efficient. Why was he hired in the first place?

@acelawrites He is the secretary and his mind must be wandering. I'm often irritated with him because he forwards the minutes of meetings to us without prior proofreading and I have to make many corrections. I keep on reminding on the uses of tenses and when to capitalize or not certain words.

I don't have a wall calendar this year, but I have a paper calendar that I carry in my bag. I also use an app, but it is nice to have a paper calendar because I know that I won't lose the information if the phone breaks down.

@acelawrites My calendar is also quite small, it is nice because I am able to keep it in my bag when I am away from my home. The last one I had was larger, but I chose the small version this year.

Yes, I have a big traditional calendar on the back of my kitchen door. I write all my appointments there, a phone or a computer can break, but the calendar will be there to show me the appointments.

Yes,we seem to be so busy with everything that we tend to forget about the calendar and only remember to change it to the current month when we are trying to know what date it is.
