The Vet discovered that Luna had an ear problem.

And on talking with her, she said that it was better if I put the drops after my vacations. I don´t understand how a dog (or any animal) can wait with an ear that hurts for a week. She is coming on Thursday to give me (sell me) some pills I have to give her for flies and I´ll ask her if there are any drops that anyone can give Luna. She finally told me that I could try a natural remedy: a couple of vinegar drops in her ear. Have you heard of that? What do you do in such cases?

Poor Luna, a week is too much especially if it hurts her.

Vinegar is fine to kill bacteria, BUT But if Luna has red, sore ears, don’t use vinegar, it will be very painful, you can try with a few drops of cocoa oil. Did the vet say what caused the infection?

I think that the Vet did not check her enough to know what she had. She is coming tomorrow and I´ll talk to her.

@LadyDuck I think that the Vet invented all this. I have been checking Luna. She does not scratch her ear. I have touched it, even with force in many places and she has not felt pain. So I called the Vet and told her not to come.

@marguicha Have you noticed if Luna scratches her hear or seems to have pain? I do not trust a lot your vet, she seems not to care enough.

I do not know what can help the animal, I know that a heated patch can help people.

@Nevena83 The Vet said that Luna had cried when she touched her ear. But then, later on, I did the same and she did not cry.

I´m beginning to wonder if Luna is really ill. The Vet touched the left ear and she cried. Then she said she had an otitis. But now I called her and touched both of her ears in many parts and she did not make any sound. Luna cries when she hurts. A couple of times she has crossed my path and I have stepped over one of her feet. She yells and takes her feet away. Now she should have cried and turned her head. She didn´t.. I´m worried. Maybe it is time to change her Vet.

Mineral Oil is better @marguicha . Did the vet state what the ear problem was? Are the inside of her ears dirty looking? It's possible that the flies are laying eggs within the ear. If so the Mineral Oil will suffocate them and soothe any inflammation further down inside of the ear. Has she been shaking her head and trying to claw down inside the ear? It could also be ear mites; which the oil will still kill them and take the pain away. A few drops in the ear and moosh the ear at the base. Take a cotton swab and wipe out the interior of the year. If the swab looks black/dirty; it's definitely ear mites. After cleaning the ear, add a couple more drops.
