On Virily logging in earns you points

Virily awards 10 virils (points) just for logging in.
If you log in once a day every day for one month you will get 300-310 virils (depending on how many days in a month).
And it seems that if you log in more than once in one day you get 10 virils each time but it shouldn't be the case.
So, if you are not in the mood to be active on the site you can just log in and do nothing else and you still earn.
Sweet!
Not sure how much it is in money equivalent. Probably pennies. But still, to earn something just for logging in is awesome.
Wish other sites let you earn something just for logging in.

@lovebuglena I checked right now. It seems good. But, you can only go there if you have Facebook or Twitter?

@WiseGhots No! You don't need that to be a member of the site.

Of course, you have to be active on other people's stuff and publish your own stuff. Just logging in and doing nothing else will earn you next to nothing. But it's nice that you do earn just by logging in. So, if you are not up to being active on a certain day, or you have no time, you can just log in and you make an easy 10 virils.

@dya80dya It depends on how active you are on other people's stuff and how active they are on yours and how often you publish your own stuff. You get 30 virils when you publish your own stuff.

@lovebuglena Yes. In my opinion it's a slow site. I didn't reach the minimum payment yet. But I like it.

Well, I've been on it for a few years I think and I have yet to reach my first $10, which is the minimum. But there are people who regularly make $10.

@lovebuglena I know of people who take hundreds of dollars a month from Hubpages!

I have not been paid yet because I have not reached the minimum. You have to earn at least $10 before you can get paid. I am about three bucks away from that.

That's great! I wonder why they don't have a sign-up page, where you just create a regular account. You shouldn't need to have a Facebook or Twitter account to join Virily. I joined a while go and I did it the regular way, without needing FB or Twitter to join...

@florelway Great! As long as you were able to sign up I guess shouldn't matter how.

Never been on Virily. I remember Squidoo used to award a badge for regularly logging in every day for a whole month. It's a way of increasing the online ranking of the website.

Oh, didn't know that about Squidoo. I was on that site for a little bit. I don't think Virily has a logging in badge...

@ThreeTeddies I actually love HubPages. Been there for many years. Earned on it more than on any other site.

@lovebuglena Squidoo was my first online writing site. I loved it and did very well there. I was heartbroken when Squidoo sold out to Hubpages which is a far different type of site and one I don't like. I didn't stay long at Hubpages and eventually went my own way with my own blog

I joined virily a few years ago. I only write there every few months. It takes a while to get each submission approved. The virils are not worth much. So far, l am still yet to reach the payout amount.

Are you active on other people's stuff and do you get a lot of activity on your already published stuff?

@lovebuglena Like this site too, it's a bit hard to navigate and to find stuff that interests you to write on.

Interesting tête-à-tête on online sites.
I have been on a few Started with Associated Content which was bought over by Yahoo and became Yahoo Contributor Network. Then finally on Wikinut. A select few made even over 1,000 a month at YCN going by the page views they garnered.
The highest earning here I think is about 30 dollars a month. It takes about three months for me to reach payout.
Good to hear that HubPages pays well. It gets a mention as a writing site that has survived for a long time. Does it pay well still? If so, I will take a look. Appreciate your response - siva

I too have tried many writing sites. I do not push myself to earn. I mostly just do things my own way which l am comfortable with.

@lovebuglena l got a payout from wikinut in its early days, but it stopped paying and is a non paying writing platform only now.

@innertalks I am like that too, just like to share what I like to and comment when I have something to say.
Earnings are of secondary concern as I don't want to end up " liking" those I really don't like! siva
