Stuck in the LTO for 4 Hours

With all the revamping in government offices to make it quicker and more efficient, I think they skipped the Land Transporatation Office.
There’s no clear system people just come and go and don’t respect queues and the waiting area can is not even comfortable. No tables for filling up the forms, very hot I feel faint and blinded by the sun, and yes there’s AC but not working. Now they can’t say they have no budget. Their office makes a lot of money judging from the number of people present here. I’m very, very annoyed and also starving and almost faint.
I cannot leave cause I don’t want to miss my turn.

The reason for all the mess is the back log since the Aquino administration. When I renewed my license in 2015, it took me 8 months to get my new card. When I renewed on a Friday last year, I was made to come back at 7AM on Monday. I went at 5AM because there are many who come as early as 3 or 4AM to get their priority number which is only good for 120 people a day. There was even a group who came at 10PM the previous night just so that they can be ahead in the line.

Yeah this back log shows those working in the government offices how bad it is when you don’t do your job on time. It eventually catches up with you.

@sunrisefan oh I think my brother is a victim of that. He never got his plate and now his registration is expired. It literally took forever.

@flapiz No, it's because of the cancelled contract with the plastic card supplier.

When my daughter came home last Dec. 26 and went to PRC to renew her license, the line was so long so my wife stood on the line and my daughter and I had lunch at the food court. After finishing lunch, my daughter and I went back to the PRC office insie Robinsons and my wife took her lunch. It took about an hour for my daughter to get her turn. My daughter also wanted to renew her driver's license but decided not to after knowing how tedious it is. She said, anyway, she won't be driving here.

I really was not enthusiastic to even get my driver’s license and after that LTO (insert profanity here). I am put off. In fairness my PRC processing was quick compared to my LTO and this is why I’m whining so much. PRC processing now go by appointment and it’s really a breeze. The only thing I didn’t like was the dress code. Actually I’m okay with that. But I think it’s fair if they put it up on their website so people don’t come there and be not allowed to enter because of something minor.

I can wait 5 hours without complain and patiently too but don’t make me feel like my papers seems to be shuffled in different orders. And this is probably what upsets me too much. I come early and i see people who came late leaving with their task finished. My brother got called first, i get called next. On the next process I get called first and my brother gets called after 3 names. What does that tell me?

Yes Judy I waited 5 hours in total and by the time I’m finished I was feeling faint and parched. They have free drinking water for clients but the bottle was empty and no cups in sight. It’s really cruel. Plus your papers seems to be shuffled and you come up in different orders. And this is probably what pissed me off too much. You come early and you see people who came late leaving with their task finished.
