Lighthouses, I love them!

I don't know why, but ever since I was a little kid I stopped at every lighthouse I could. I don't know why but I truly love Lighthouses. That said, how about the rest of you? Do you stop and view Lighthouses?

I do love lighthouses but don't get to see very many. So perhaps it's more accurate to say I like lighthouse pictures

@DocAndersen we have a few good ones here in New Zealand and I'm sure with so much coastline we have more I don't know about.

I have seen many lighthouses. Some of our lighthouses are open for visitors, and there is a nice view from the top of the lighthouse. Sometimes it is only possible to see them from the outside, but I still like to see them.

Living in Chicago there aren't many opportunities to view lighthouses but we do have one in Evanston. It's maybe a 20 minute drive from my house.

Just a bit off of Navy Pier, one of my favorite lighthouses. I also love the one 3 hours north of you in Green Bay. Or the one out in the middle of Lake Michigan, the Beaver Island lighthouse!

@DocAndersen I forgot about the one by Navy Pier. There is also one in Kenosha, Wisconsin. My wife and I went there once but the access to the lighthouse was blocked by an antique car show. I did get some nice photos of the streetcars, however.
