My 6 year old is really into Pokémon now. So what does my husband do he buys him his first Pokémon Trainer Kit to teach our son how to play. He has been carrying around just the cards and throwing them around the house calling whatever he is doing a battle and he got all upset yesterday that we wouldn’t play with him br the rules he was making up was impossible so we promised to get him a set today. So we did after we finished at the doctors office we went to Target and pick up the Sun and Moon set it was the only one they had to choice from.

I remember first getting into pokemon, many years ago. I never really understood how to play, but loved getting the cards and putting them into the sleves thing I had, and trading with my brother and neighbors.
Now my nephews and cousins are into it, and I cant believe how popular it still is.

Starting of the kid right! I loved playing pokemon as a kid. I actually was so good and kids would cry and complain to their parents that I accidentally got card games banned from school. Whoops! I still play it online occasionally because it is just so fun and I still love pokemon so much haha

@DesirousDreamer wow you where good. My husband has played our son with the cards twice and both times he beat our son. They are only playing with 3 cards instead of a full seven since he is still learning

@ShyBear88 I had a very small deck as a kid, so I would borrow from others and would tear those other kids down haha however playing online that is a whole other world haha

Pokemon was my favorite show back in 2000. I remember finishing my homework so fast so I could be ready for my daily episode at 3 pm. I never missed it. I also had that Pokemon Trainer Kit, but the difference is that they were different Pokemons, the first generation which is in my opinion the best ones! I hope you're kid enjoys pokemon!

@ShyBear88 That is so good to hear. I think I would have a Pokemon duel with him to see who's the best Pokemon trainer lol.
