How we took a splash photo

Vince has been taking ‘splash’ photos lately so I thought I’d show you the set-up. There is an old blanket on the floor in case much water spills and we have some towels handy too. There is a mirror on the table but it’s reflecting the black board at the back so it looks a bit strange. There are two lights set up, a glass sitting on the mirror and the camera is on a tripod.
The other photo is of the glass on the mirror and a grape has been dropped into the water. It’s not quite as he’d like it but you can see the potential I’m sure.
And I won’t be round much today as we have to go out. Hopefully I’ll catch up some time later otherwise it will be tomorrow.

Thanks. @LadyDuck @JohnRoberts Thanks. It is quite nice but some of the others on the challenge put this one in the shade. But it was a good learning experience.

I think the glass photo is striking.

Photographers like doing this sort of thing and will go to a lot of trouble to get the effect they want.

So much work involved to get the just right picture. I like the nature splash photos a lot. Just when the leaves are filled and a drop falls to Earth is so nice and refreshing to see, though somewhat wet to get.

Me too, and I know, nature is so beautiful but when it's raining it's a bit unpleasant.

The splash photo is fabulous with the two glass cups like inverted reflection in water.

That's quite pretty. I'm not that talented, so any "great picture" I take is pure luck.
