This is the birthing technique the Duchess of Sussex(Meghan Markle) will be using when she gives birth. It is total relaxation during birth. This technique, although a ancient concept, was formalized in 1920 by Dr. Grantly Dick-Read. He was a English obstetrician. Then in 1992 Marie Mondgan wrote about this technique in her book: "Hypnobirthing: The Mongan Method Book". It has been used by such stars as Angelina Jolie and Jessica Alba. Length of labor and amount of C-sections are found to be lower in those mothers using this technique. Participants in the program utilize breathing techniques, listen to relaxation CD's, undergo acupuncture, exercise regularly and took many different classes. It is said that postpardum depression is less for those who use the technique.
Have you heard of this or do you know anyone that has used this form of delivery?

I have heard of it. It’s preth popular in the US but it depends on the mother and baby. For me it wouldn’t be an option as since I have 2 preemies I need to be monitor during labor. My last baby came with in 3 hours of my induction. He is my third so I figured it would move a long and this time I was allowed to walk while I was induced. They almost didn’t let me using the bathroom once because I was almost 10 cm

So you deliver rather quickly. Some aren't so lucky.

@celticeagle my first was almost 24 hours and it was also and induction at 34.5 weeks. Second baby after 4 weeks of antipartium to keep him inside his labor at 36.6 week was roughly 6 hours of labor and third baby was induction was at 38.2 after 16 weeks of contractions off and one so his 3 hour labor was welcomed

I never heard of it. If (big IF) I ever was pregnant (don't want to be), I probably wouldn't have this done. I probably would be able to relax. I can't stand pain.
