We celebrate it here in the Philippines, by dining out with the family.
Even at the office, we will be having our monthly birthday bash for those employees born in the the month of February .
Funny, we have a coding for our wears on the 14th during the the birthday bash. Green for the married, black for the loveless, orange for the searching, brown for those who don't care and white for the single.

Wow this is your most recent post? Did you just come back to mylot? I do celebrate Valentine's day. My boyfriend and I buy each other gifts and I always get my kids a gift and a can't bar for each of my nieces and nephews.

Valentine's was never a big day when I was growing up but of course the businesses push it more and more.

I do not celebrate Valentine's Day even though I was once involved in this tradition in which the people of my country participate. But I think today there is not much sentimental or romantic concern in this sense, but more than anything commercial, because people, because of the difficult socioeconomic situation that Venezuela is experiencing, are more worried about earning money and buying food.

I think of it more as a friendship day than anything. I used to do most Valentine-y things for my Mom, but she's not here anymore.
