Raisin Bread and I'm Exhausted

Did I Have This Much Energy... Our daughter picked up our granddaughter a little while ago and I'm exhausted. We have had her since Thursday night and she went home today a little after dinner. It's amazing how much you forget. We raised three kids and I don't remember ever being this tired. Later in March we have her for an entire week... I love having here but it's hard to keep up with her! Today we made Raisin Bread because apparently they don't sell it where she lives. I don't know of a store on the planet that doesn't sell it, but that was her story and she wanted to learn how so that she could make it where she lives. Anyway, I lost half the recipe so that she could take it home, lol... she was so proud of herself. Now she wants a bread maker of her own! I have a feeling that I'm going to be in bed really early tonight!!

Ha Ha! That's Nature's way of telling us that kids are for the young. My husband and I get drained when our grandchildren visit.

@Hate2Iron Lol! It's like childbirth. Only the young can do it and soon forget, only to do it again.

It's only a matter of age, you were a lot younger when your raised your children.

Wish my grandkids lived closer. Of course they are a little older than yours, I think. I remember when my daughter was expecting her third and I was there to help. We shopped and the three year old REALLY wanted a cantaloupe. Daughter said she did not have the energy to prep one. We got it anyway, and I have pictures of Hallie standing on the step stool as we seeded, peeled and cut up that cantaloupe. Fun little memory. I could not do it all the time, though.

How old is your grand-daughter? Don't worry. You'll bounce back in a day or two.

@Hate2Iron We know a young lass. She seems to have been born one of those 'old souls'. We say she is eight, going on 40!

Those little ones can be loveable but exhausting. Hope you get the rest you need.
