Tested my new camera

After higgling haggling about batteries I have now decided to work with these disposable batteries and then switch over to rechargeable ones for which I have placed an order. The matter is not closed and I am in toiuch with Sony on this issue. There is so much to learn about this camera but I was in a hurry to click the first photo after setting the time and date. In comparison this camera is far better than what I used to get from my old camera but suffice it to say that camera did give me immense joy for 10 years. I was able to cover the full bush of the Chinese Hats which was not so with the other camera. I will have to improve further on this image as I have yet to look at features that will perfect the clicks.

It is a lovely photo! What kind of camera did you get? I am surprised it didn’t come with a rechargeable battery. All the ones I have had since going digital came with a rechargeable battery pack.

@allknowing I just looked it up. Looks like a good price. It looks so much like my Panasonic camera that cost me way more then that one and is a hunk of junk

@shaggin I have the old one which has some issues. I can still take videos though. I will keep it as I like the battery there which is flat and square not like this where I have to load four at a time.

It is a Sony DSC H300. After higgling haggling I am now settled as far as batteries go. I have ordered for the chargeable ones and in the meantime will use the other lot.

The photo looks great but I am more interested in camera. You know I love cameras as an amateur photographer with a couple of cameras at my disposal.

@suni51 This has 20. But what is worrying me is whether I will pick up all those features.

@allknowing Good, it's a handy one you can keep in your handbag and shoot as and when you like. I had one one with 15 pixel if my memory serves me right although you get higher pixel ones these days which improve the image quality.

I am like a kid not wanting to learn. There are so many things in there I should be able to pick up. I almost returned it but these items are not returnable. Hopefully I will have patience and go through that manual

@allknowing I know what you mean about that. I hate going through manuals and get bored with reading when I just want to get on and use something!
