So last night the Chicago Blackhawks played the Ottawa Senators in what was a high scoring game. In the first 3 minutes of the game the Senators went up 2-0 and it was not looking good but by the end of the 1st period the Blackhawks took the lead 5-4. For hockey this is very high scoring. The NHL record is 10 goals in the first period, these guys missed it by one.
This game is up there in I believe the 4th most goals in one game in NHL history. The most combined goals was set on 11 December 1985 and the Blackhawks were involved in that one too. The Edmonton Oilers beat the Chicago Blackhawks 12-9. On average teams score about 2.6 goals per game, so when we are getting up over 5 goals from a team, that is a lot of goals.
So till the next game I will be happy with the win, not good that we gave up so many goals but at least they won.

A win is a win in the books. You'll take it.
