Is He Telling the Truth?

Or is he lying? Here's the scenario.
Stin (my brother-in-law's brother) was shot a few days ago. He was shot twice. He was driving his truck on the wee hours of the morning (according to his story) when a van stopped right in front of him, and then someone got out and shot him twice. His neck was missed but it was slightly scratched and then the other bullet went through his shoulder.
The strangest thing was that, he said he was shot in the city I reside in but he didn't go to the nearest police station to report when he escaped the assailant, but instead he drove 100km or 63 miles all the way home. We all doubt he's telling the truth.

if he was wounded, why didn't he go to the nearest hospital? just like the police station, they're open 24/7/365. is he not familiar with that area? he's lucky he was able to drive that far without fainting. (i guess he panicked and was running on adrenaline)
does he have a history of getting lying, getting involved in risky activities/dealing with questionable characters?

@toniganzon i'm glad it's not fatal. if he's not interested in pursuing the matter, then so be it. he'll probably avoid that area for a while.

@hereandthere Of course, we wouldn't insist. It's not our life who's on the line. Even his own siblings don't care anymore coz they all don't believe he was telling the truth even the exact location of where he got shot. Because when we told him we could get a copy of the cctv through the NBI he refused.

Why would he not report such a serious issue,i mean if they aimed for the neck they could have killed him

Thats' the question we've all been asking and he wouldn't even cooperate with the national bureau of investigation.

That does sound very fishy, though I am sorry to hear this happened to him. I pray he does heal and gets out of whatever situation that might be.

Same here coz he seems to be refusing help from us. He's really hiding something and hope he gets out of whatever it is he's into.

There has to be something that he is holding back...Things aren't adding up??? That is one scary story though!! Hope that he gets it cleared up quickly!!!

My husband told him that we have NBI (national bureau of investigation similar to FBI) friends and we could have it investigated in a faster way. But he refused which is really strange. We give up helping him. Even his siblings have given up too. His brother told us that his wife will take care of it.

Sorry that he got shot and I hope he recovers. He should have called the police and gone to a hospital.

He's recovering well and his wife is taking care of him now. He refused help regarding the investigation of what truly happened to him and we're leaving him alone.

That's the same question we had on our mind as well. My brother-in-law told us to just let it be coz his brother seems to be unclear about everything. Now I'm not even sure if he's telling the truth of the exact location of where he got shot coz when we told him we could get a copy of the CCTV he refused help. We wanted to find out the plate number of the van that the shooter used even though we couldn't identity the shooter himself that would be of great help.
