Does Political Survey Define a Candidate's Win?

Political Surveys are being resorted to prior to election. This is one way of determining the candidate's popularity. In your opinion what is the chance of a candidate winning in surveys actually win in the actual election.

@florelway I do not believe here in Switzerland, I was born in Italy and YES I think that in Italy elections are manipulated.
