Do you need a plan, or no?

Hi My Lot, I really don't know what to say. I suppose it's the same old situation here. Dad kicking up drama. I would explain, but I'm afraid you would all love the 1,000 page book it would turn into so much that I would be forced into finding a publishing deal and then a movie deal. I'm just kidding. I'm borrowing a page from our own @Xander6464 but afraid I'm a halfrate Xander. lol. Reality is - the situation is something so simple that he has made so complex that it is nearly impossible and explaining all that would likely be more than people would like to read. Instead I thought it would be better to note the difference in how people re-act in any given situation. Right now my mom is calmly looking at magazines and watching Tv - while I'm pulling my hair out. There are about 5 possibilities in this little created situation. I would love to spend the next hours plotting, planning, story-boarding - each possible outcome. My mom on the other hand says - don't bother planning since you can't really plan anything out until you know more. And of course my answer to that is - that's why you plan for all possible situations . So that's it on my front. We aren't going to know more until we know more. Mood of the day:

Knowing your father's moods from knowing you so well, all I can say is that I'm so sorry he's at it again. Hugs to you.

@DianneN It's a hard situation. The support means the world. I know there's probably no answer. It proves a lot of things. (care for you health. mental health matters. One person can destroy the lives of many. etc) but I kinda wish I wasn't living it

Thanks dear friend. The week was rough, but at least we got some answers (he had an infected gallbladder) and at least through it all he wasn't angry at us. That is about the worst so I'm happy he didn't go and do that... I continue being thankful and praying about that.

@FayeHazel Omg, I can't believe I had forgotten about that!!! My dad used to get weird when he had a urinary trac infection, I didn't even think about infections causing that behavior in the elderly. So glad they figured it out and will get that taken care of.

@cintol It's amazing what the brain and body can come up with, isn't it?

In my case the planning helps to keep me busy and I don't dwell on things. Not quite sure how that works, but my brain is well compartmented!

Thanks dear. Planning sometimes stirs me up - and sometimes calms me. Maybe it's a good lesson not too much planning

We also need to plan but of course, plan is just a plan, it is far from reality.

You poor soul. I've read enough posts about your father's behaviour to know it must be horrific at times and probably now, seeing you're posting about it.

I say that people are quite different and react differently to situations. Some will make a mountain out of simple things while others will let it just pass.
