Price of everything is up and I think that we could not prevent that change to happen. What sad is, salaries and wages are not that quick to increase so if you’re solely earning from it, then you might have a good scratch at the head. So for an ordinary people like me, it really hurts when particular increase on the price of commodities happened because I need to catch up.
I contacted a cabinet maker because I want it this time in the kitchen and it should not be built in. We agreed that I would only pay him the labor and I would shoulder the materials. In my estimate, the amount to be spent is only 5,000+Php overall or 100USD but when the materials have been bought, it already cost me that amount so now I should pay more for the labor.
Through the years, I imagine on things that never increase its value or price but I can’t think of any. I think one must lecture me about economics. LOL!
And because of that purchase, I just settled with this peach mango pie from Jolibee (photo above).

@KlyliePot I do not have in my list yet even in local. There is so much noise now and both supporters of the candidates keep on on throwing issues against each other.

In our country inflation is much under control in last few years. And we are happy about it. Interest rates have gone down and so have prices of many accomodities. The rate of Internet and mobile data has become really cheap and even poor people are able to afford it.

Due to increasing prices we could sometimes put off some activities. You did the right thing, instead of stressing yourself on that cabinet thing, peach mango pie puts the stress away loll. Kidding aside, I intend on doing some minor house repairs but the cost of labor is very high. Actually I don't have much problem with the materials because I can get them on credit but the labor is very expensive here and good carpenters are becoming scarce.

@florelway You are very true on that. We do not have right options but the best thing to do is to man the work so that they do not tend to do it slowly.

You are very true that they will demand higher price for the labor. I asked the person if how much time frame he will able to finish the cabinet and he said that it's one week. I said I want it on Sunday and I asked the price. He charged me 2000Php for the work which I think it can be completed in 3 days (not sure though).

@ZedSmart if we have to go by the procedure labor cost should not be more than 35 percent of the cost of material. If it's on daily basis they charged about 500 a day more or less plus they must have an assistant which is about 250 to 300 plus you give them lunch and dinner, sometimes better to go pakyaw or per job contract but you have to check they do it well. If daily you must also check they're not killing the time haha I need a peach mango pie
