So this was lunch

We ordered the same meal yesterday, with the exception of hubby substituting warm potato salad for the spaetzle. (noodles).
We had jaegerschnitzle ( pork cutlet, breaded and fried), and cooked red cabbage and then the noodles or potato salad. Hubby had no room for dessert, so we did not get any.
The restaurant is in a shopping center (?) called Revolutsia. It is built out of reclaimed shipping containers, stacked, finished inside and with windows and doors of course.
Other shops I saw were gift shops in the area. Or import shops.
There was an outdoor eating area with a fire pit. I wish it had been warm enough to enjoy.
The name of the restaurant we went to was Prost. They have lots of different beers available, but we do not drink. You can get your own stein and lock it up in a cabinet on the wall. I am not sure why.

It was very good. The portions were well seasoned, mushroom gravy was "the bomb".

@GardenGerty How do you think they made it? I can buy mushroom soup, but my hunch is that they "enhanced" it somehow.

It was nice. We are going back to Wichita today but they are closed. The freezing weather has frozen their water lines and restrooms. No cooking for them today.

I guess you lock it up for safe keeping for another visit. Perhaps it's their idea of modern art. I'm not sure why they wouldn't just let you take the stein home and bring it back to use again.
The meal you had sounds good and so does the experience of shipping container shopping center. I think I'd have enjoyed just browsing all the stores.
The weather here is nice. I did some running around this morning and almost went by the recreational center in my neighborhood. I wanted to go take pictures of the creek. I decided against it, however, as I figured with such a nice day, there'd be a lot of people around. I wasn't in the mood for conversation or the sounds of children playing.

@ScribbledAdNauseum From reading their posts on Facebook I have learned that you have stein lockers because you pay a fee to "rent" a stein and then steinholders as they are called get discounts on food and beverages all year long. Kind of like a loyalty card.

@GardenGerty It is going to turn cold here tonight. I think lows in the 20. It was cold but sunny today. I still have not gone to the recreational center. I think I'll go tomorrow, weather permitting. I've to do some running around.
Yes, most of the time I am fine, but there are just days that I prefer nothing but the silence afforded to me of home.

I LOVE Schnitzel... but then I am German, I guess it's in my genes *g*
My favourite Schnitzel is with hollandaise sauce and some broccoli. Add fries to it and I'm sold!

Hubby says the only time he ever gained much weight was when he was stationed in Germany in the Army. He has been ill and needs to gain weight. I need to learn to cook this at home. I do not care much for fries, though. I would rather have the potato salad. Does this look pretty good to you? I have nothing to judge it by. He said the sauces he liked where he was in Germany were more cream sauces. Maybe it was Hollandaise.

@GardenGerty Yes, it does look good. And your husband is right, most mushroom sauces are creamy. But then again we do have various sauces that go well with Schnitzel. And there is still ketchup if you don't like the sauce

I do not dislike it. I do not make it myself. I sometimes buy it in a jar at Aldi. You must have just the right touch.
