I've been busy on my website

It's been a few days since I have been on myLot. The last time I posted I hadn't slept at all the night before, so being tired was part of it. Also, I have been trying to get my website going. So, I try to do a blog post at least once a week. I'm putting a lot of effort into it, so I hope it pays off.

@dodo19 It's not like I depend on it for my living, but it's a lot more rewarding to write stuff people read, and if they read it, you should make some money from it.

I have been writing at HubPages for years, but most similar websites have disappeared, and HP is in the doldrums right now. I feel like I can't count on it staying around. I'm trying to build a little lifeboat for myself.

It seems like any kind of Internet writing is a long-term thing. Usually you have to work hard for a long time before you get any results.

@VivaLaDani13 My website is about music. Specifically music baby boomers will like. I hear so many older people complaining about how there is no good music anymore. So, I do playlists. Some are about old music, and some are about new music that I like, so I think people my age will like it too.

Blogs are tough. I know. I have been doing them for YEARS. But we keep at it. You never know when you finally hit a payoff, and to be fair, while things have slowed down monetarily, I have—over the years—made several thousand from the blogs. So I can't complain too much.
