Here I Sit, Pen In Hand...

I am sitting here with everything I need to get started on a day of serious writing. The only thing missing in this picture I found on Pixabay is my laptop. It's there but I will probably be using pen an paper mostly today.
I must, must, must finish up the reluctant reader book before I lose my contract. I am so far behind that I need to seriously hunker down and get moving on it. I have never been behind like this, all this fooling around with illness and renovation has really put me behind.
I will probably be here off and on all day but the major of my mind will be involved in getting my teen character out of the predicament she has put herself in.
What's in store for you today? Hope everyone out there is healthy and happy.

@Hannihar A reluctant reader is a child that has fallen behind, a child that is say, in 6th grade but only can read in 1st grade level. One who resists reading and generally hates the idea of doing so. Because of the reading level being so low it affects all of their schoolwork and they fall way behind in learning.

A lot of things can distract us sometimes. Hope you'll be able to finish it soon.
My day is lazy and it think it will be lazy the whole day but I'll be mostly staying with my puppy Danie as she needs me a lot these days.

@almostoveryou I used to teach this type of child and noticed that there is a dismal lack of books for lower level readers that are appropriate for the teen age group. When I retired I thought I would try my hand at creating a couple of them that would encourage these readers to actually enjoy reading.

I wasn't that productive on the computer or writing but managed to get some curtains hung up. It sounds like fun dealing with a teen on paper.
