Celebrated two birthdays!

Most of our kids came home this weekend and we celebrated our daughter's birthday (Leap Year baby) and our great granddaughter's 4th birthday. Had such a fun time. Our daughter's family had a stressful drive from Charleston, SC to here Friday night...storms and rain and deer the whole seven hours. But praise God, they got here safely. Saturday we all hung around visiting, then had a little party for both the birthday girls. I tell you what, that little Alice is a fire cracker! She's so smart, but has so much energy! That night we went to Deadwood, a western themed restaurant where our son, his girlfriend, and our grandson met us. The little kids rode a train there that winds through the woods. Sunday, we all gathered at church...my husband preached the message and I sang a special. Went back to our house for a big pot of veggie soup with hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill. Everybody had to head back home and again, ran into terrible storms and tornado warnings. Thankfully, they made it home safely. Sunday afternoon after everyone had left, my husband and I went to the annual meal packing event for Rise Against Hunger. With people from all different churches, we packed 20,000 meals in two hours. So, it was an eventful weekend and we loved every minute of it! How was your weekend? I pray none of you were affected by the tragic tornadoes that swept across the southern US yesterday.
