Attempting...

Photo I took of the artichokes cooking in their pot

I have never cooked artichokes before. My Mom used to steam them, the recipe I found on line said to boil them (I couldn't find my Mom's old steamer basket, anyway). So, I'm attempting to use the boiling recipe in a pot without it's own lid (had to "borrow" one from the cupboard). Hopefully, they at least turn out edible. I wanted to be sure and cook them before they went bad (as I had some vegetables do that to me recently). So, hopefully when the microwave timer goes off, these will be edible...

I always boil them until when a leaf is taken you can take out easily the meat with your teeth. I have a couple already boiled and cooling. I made homemade mayo and will have them with it.
