First Day With You New Feet?

Would you believe I fell out my front door on Friday? I went flying onto concrete and knocked my knee, of course the one that is in the worst shape, Bounced my face off of the concrete, and hit the pavement with the heel of my hand. What a clutz!
So I am currently typing with one hand (not a lot of fun), sitting without end (my rear is complaining), and nursing my funny looking bruised face. Oh well. I am finding out that there is nothing on TV to watch , or at least not much.
So, I am doing a lot of reading, and recording. Recording what you might ask? I am working to finish a reluctant reader and I am not going to let this upset stop me. I decided to record and later transcribe it.
Besides, I have to keep busy, just sitting makes me crazy.
So how is your life going? I am going to have to learn how to walk without falling over I guess.

Maybe you should start wearing protective gear.

Oh dear, I'm so sorry about your accident! I've always been a klutz and I fall more the older I get.

@HazySue It really does, and I've never had good balance to start with!

Good luck on learning how to walk without falling. Actually, we've all had a lot of practice because walking is falling, but catching yourself before you hit the ground. Lol. didn't think of it that way before, have you?/
I've been falling more than I used to. I've fallen on cement before and wacked my chin on someone's nice sunken patio one year. That left me with a whopper of a bruise. If you don't have a bruise that's good, but if you do, I know how that feels.
Take care of yourself. My main problem with walking the past few years is that I shuffle more than I walk because of my knees not working right. Now that I've had the one replaced, I think I'm remembering how to walk all over again, the correct way. If I can stay away from ice that is.

@HazySue shoot, I thought I replied to this. But I was in my appt and when the page flipped it was hard to remember where I was.
They say to wait as long as possible. But if you wait too long then the pain can be lot worse than expected. Don't wait that long.

@HazySue How are you doing today? Ouch on the cheekbone - wow, you fractured it? My mother in law is 80something and bruised easily to begin with too . . . she used some kind of arnica gel to help heal it up faster . . . she had a wedding to be in a month later!

She probably hit her cheek near the eye on the ground. Once many years ago I was starting to bend over to pick something up off the floor when I suddenly sneezed. I hit the top of my cheek bone on the edge of the chair and ended up with a huge black eye and fractured cheek bone. It's strange how accidents happen.

He was right behind me He tried to grab me as I was going down and was quite upset that he missed. We went to get everything looked at and was told that one of the bones inn my wrist was fractured and my knee was swollen and turning purple. The biggest thing that bothers me is that I have to type with one hand. I am getting better everyday.

Oh my gosh - are you ok??? Be careful! My mother in law did that last year - I think she tripped over nothing while walking her dog near her house - she ended up with a huge black eye/cheeks - don't know how that happened!
