Narcissi are blooming everywhere and various trees are beginning to blossom. Yesterday afternoon we went for a short hike at a nearby park and I spotted this pretty little cluster of flowers hiding among the leaf litter.
I took a photo of it thinking it would be easy enough to identify with the help of Google but so far I have had no luck.
Any of my fellow MyLotters know what these purple pretties are?

They are pretty. If I can't get them identified here I'll have to go digging in the books piled in the corner of my son's room (we're doing some remodeling so NOTHING is where it's supposed to be) to find my wildflowers trail guide.

@SophiaMorros Okay I went looking I think they are blunt lobed hepatica.

@BelleStarr I think you found it! Thanks.
I wonder if they have a "common" name?

I can't help you....but they are very pretty.
Our ground is still covered with snow.....if last winter is anything to go by....we have about six weeks before the spring flowers will be popping out. Last spring I saw the crocuses and daffodils.

Last year I had one lone crocus in the strawberry bed beside the house but I haven't seen hide nor hair of it this year.
The daffodils are in full bloom. I'm trying to work the Narcissus label as much as possible (I still feel a little silly over that one--you can read about it here: )
This morning when I stepped out of the house at 6:30 to walk the dog I was thrilled to see daylight! It’s been very wet and overcast the past several days so...

Hepatica.... It's a Anemone of sorts....
If the leaves were more apparent I would have recognized them much more quickly.
