deleting mylot private messages

it takes a long time for my private messages to open since last year.
i knew the reason why so i finally did it.
i started deleting some private messages, mostly from mylotters who are no longer active here.
it worked.
it opens much faster now.
if you want to do the same, go to Messages, click on the username or message, then click on the trash can that appears on the upper left or right corner of the message.
sorry, there's no Select All so you have to delete the messages one at a time.
i just clicked the trash icon as fast as i can with the mouse, as if i'm playing an online game!
if you want to change your private message settings, go to Settings, then Account Settings, then Message preference.
the options are:
Anyone can message me, except for those I've blocked.
Only those I follow can message me.
No one can message me.
then Save Changes.
were you aware of these?

it can be a pain since you have to delete them one by one, but it's definitely worth it!

i can't remember anymore.
the number next to Messages shows the number of people you received from and/or sent messages to.
for example, if yours show Messages (10) it means you've sent to and/or received messages from 10 mylotters, not sent/received 10 messages

@Mavic123456 it does have a threshold. if you know/remember diana, it came to the point she couldn't open her messages at all so she allowed mylotbugs to access them and delete her old ones from the old mylot.

i know diana couldn't open hers at all so she agreed to let mylotbugs go in and delete all the old ones from the old mylot.
