Is your Facebook down?

It seems that Facebook is down in a lot of places. From the map I see, it is parts of North and South America, parts of Europe and a lot of India. Mine kept coming and going. I heard that it is maintenance but I don't believe that. People are also saying it is affecting What's App and other social media outlets. A lot of people thought they were in FB jail and a few think it is the beginning of the end. Yesterday, Google was down for a lot of people. That included Google Docs, Gmail, and other applications. It makes me wonder what is really going on. Is your Facebook down? What can you do or not do? I can not post but some places cannot access it at all. What is happening in your corner of the world?

That is very sensible. Do people in Serbia even get Facebook or is that just your personal choice?

@Nevena83 I know I would be better off without it. I can't comment on political discussions anymore because we are not allowed to say what we think unless it agrees with FB views.

I just checked and the website is not available at all. Below is the message that I got. "Sorry, something went wrong. We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can."

@akalinus As of yesterday, everything was back to normal here. I guess they were able to fix the problem they were having.

Sweden too? Wow, it was almost everywhere. I thought it might be an attack coming from Russia or Africa because those countries were not affected.

The UK was very red on the outage map. I'm not there so I can only go by what I saw on the map.

The explanation I heard was that it was maintenance. I don't believe that. Why would it be happening in places around the globe?

I saw that the UK was totally red on the map. I knew it must be out. Is it working for you now?

Something is happening. Maybe it is the monster storm in the middle of the country. I don't know why different things are having trouble at the same time.

@Ladanger I guess there was a hurricane speed wind with snow in the middle of the country. I know Colorado and New Mexico had a lot of damage. Not sure where else.

They said it was maintenance and then said it was something else. I wonder if it was a Denial of Service Attack. It was world wide.

It feels better when things work right. It gives me a weird feeling when things are wonky on the internet. I always wonder what is really going on.

I'm a bit late but did you ever figure out what the issue was? I have not been on Facebook in over a year so cant' say if it is/was working or not. I know mine is working great, no stupid post to look at, no wasted time on that site.

It came back. It was down again the other night. I looked at the outage map and it was pretty much world wide. Our area was a big orange, pulsating blip so I just stopped trying for the night.
