Al and I went out to lunch and he said he felt dizzy. Suddenly he went all gray and slumped over the table. The cook and owner came over to help Me, he would not respond for a couple of minutes. They called 911. By the time they got there he was not quite as ashen but his blood pressure was very low. They took him by ambulance to the ER. We have been here for 3 hrs and had an ekg and blood work. All okay. We are hoping we will get out of here soon. It was so scary!!

The exact same thing happened to my brother one week and one day ago. I was never more frightened in my life, but all was well as soon as he had an IV. He had to stay overnight for observation. I hope Al gets out soon and feels well.

They didn't keep him, every test they did came out perfect so they sprung us free but I have warned him not to do that to me again,

@Marilynda1225 no not really but I pretty much have figured it out myself. He didn’t eat breakfast and took two doses of his levadopa on at 9 and one at 1 with no food plus a naproxen’s. I think that is what did it. No pills we without breakfast

When he went limp and wouldn't respond I was afraid he might be having a stroke which is my worst nightmare.

They did star an IV but didn't even give him a full bag of fluid, I think it was just the low blood pressure.

@BelleStarr This is very possible. Two days ago my husband had to lay down all the afternoon because his blood pressure dropped too low.

Oh my goodness! I hope Al is okay. Did they ever figure out what happened? It almost sounds like his situation was caused by low blood pressure, as you mentioned above, but do they know what cause is blood pressure to drop like that?

The medication he takes for his Parkinson's can lower his blood pressure and he hadn't eaten before taking them

@BelleStarr Oh, okay. So in this case you know the cause. It can be pretty scary when something like that happens, even when you know the cause, but imagine how much scarier it is when you have no idea what caused it. I just hope he's okay. How's he been doing since then?

That would be scary, glad to hear he is ok. When my dads blood pressure went down to low they always elevated his feet up higher than his heart. I hope he doesn't have another of those attacks.
